  • Muscle relaxation: Heat therapy can work wonders in relaxing and loosening tense muscles. The heat promotes blood flow and circulation, which brings more oxygen and nutrients to the targeted area, helping to heal any damaged muscle tissue.
  • Pain relief: Heat therapy can help alleviate pain, including intermittent or chronic pain. It can be particularly beneficial for those with arthritis, muscle tension, or chronic back pain.
  • Increased flexibility: Heat therapy can help increase flexibility and range of motion. When applied, the heat can help stretch the soft tissues, including muscles, connective tissue, and adhesions, leading to improved flexibility.
  • Improved circulation: Applying heat to an area can stimulate blood flow and circulation. Increased blood flow delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the area, which aids in the healing process.
  • Stress and tension reduction: The comforting effect of heat can also help to reduce stress and tension, promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being. Management of joint pain: Heat therapy is often used to soothe discomfort in joints caused by arthritis or other conditions. The heat can ease stiffness and make movement more comfortable.
  • Post-exercise recovery: After exercising, heat therapy can help to reduce muscle soreness and promote recovery by boosting circulation and aiding in the removal of lactic acid buildup.
  • Menstrual pain relief: Some women find heat therapy helpful in relieving menstrual cramps. The heat can relax the contracting muscles in the uterus, which can ease the pain.

Service Rating : The service of this company was great

Product : Hitherto, have been dissapointed with the purchase. Lupin bags do not stay warm, longer than wheat. However, the fact wheat bags are fuller may contribute to this. It is lighter so good for traveling or at best a spare

Questions & Answers

The yellow legume seeds of lupins, commonly called lupin beans, were popular with the Romans, who spread the plant's cultivation throughout the Roman Empire. Lupin or Lupini Beans are yellow legume seeds of the lupinus genus plant, and were once a common food of the Mediterranean basin and Latin America.
Best to initially heat in shorter intervals (30 seconds) and then give a shake and reheat if not hot enough. Once you have an idea about how strong your microwave is you can heat for longer. Just dont want to burn the lupins initially.
All seed tend to have an odour when heated up. Lupin can have a slight smell of popcorn.
Sponge your lupin bag lightly with lukewarm water to remove surface marks, being careful not to saturate product. Hang up to dry as soon as possible. When cover is dry, rub lupin bag briskly between your hands to ensure grains are dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not immerse.
While wheat is the traditional filler for a heat bag, we have found that lupin is lighter and maintains its heat longer than wheat, thus giving you a longer lasting product. Through our lab testing we have found that our lupin heat bags stay warmer for longer than traditional wheat bags. Our lupin heat packs are also 30% lighter than traditional wheat heat bags which means less pressure on your body.
We recommend that you initially just heat for periods of 30 seconds, checking the product each time and flipping it over. Once you have tried this a few times you can put it on for longer periods until you get to your required heat. It is important not to heat for too long in the one position at the start as each microwave has different amounts of power and heating rates. Lupin are a natural product and like any natural product will damage if heated to long.
Our lupin products may also be heated in the oven. Extra precaution is required. The oven on low heat and we recommend customers to keep an eye on it while doing so.
The shoulder heat bags weigh 1.05kg and the rectangle heat packs weigh 0.85kg. We can make lighter for you should you need.
I would say it remains hot for 10-15mins and warm for about the same. Really depends on the outside temperature as well.
The lupin rectangle packs will stay cool and work best for approx 20 minutes depending on the heat outside. They do not freeze and go firm but grains will cool down to whatever your fridge is at. If you are after longer cooling times then a gel pack might be an option also.
No the covers are not removable.
They can be dabbed clean but being a grain if you immerse them in water they are likely to rot/breakdown/stay damp. You can try it if really dirty and see what happens but we generally say to replace them once they are soiled.
We don't have the square with velcro attachment but we do have a lupin back wrap with a Velcro attachment if you are looking to strap to your back. It is a bit bigger but is very popular and well received by most users.
Some people do like to do that but it is not a necessity. It will keep the lupin a little bit more moist so will stop them drying out so much and may add to the lifespan.
