Questions & Answers

How long in microwave?

Best to initially heat in shorter intervals (30 seconds) and then give a shake and reheat if not hot enough. Once you have an idea about how strong your microwave is you can heat for longer. Just dont want to burn the lupins initially.

How long is the neck/shoulder pack?

The lupin shoulder is 45cm from the two widest points of the product. It should be suitable for all sizes from largest frame to the smallest.

Do they wear out after a lot of use?

Being a natural grain there is a lifespan on the product but it is quite dependent on factors such as daily use, moisture in the atmosphere, microwave strength etc. We normally recommend a change over after about a year.

Do they fit large men?

They all should fit both male and female just fine. We should definitely update some images to show some males though.

What is the weight ?

The lupin shoulder bag weighs approximately 1.05kg. Please let us know if we can help with any further questions.

Can you heat in the oven?

It can but just need to be extra careful with it as can burn if oven too hot and definitely don't want it near any flame. We tend to recommend microwave as a better option in most cases.

Would this fit down the shoulder blade?

This depends on your frame. It just covers my rotator cuff when fully "opened wide" rather than sitting snugly around my neck. Perhaps measure the distance from your neck to the rotator cuff. Our dimensions are 45 cm wide x 30 cms deep and the cut out portion is 15 cms.

Does Lupin have an odour ?

All seed tend to have an odour when heated up. Lupin can have a slight smell of popcorn.

What's the difference between Lupin and Wheat?

While wheat is the traditional filler for a heat bag, we have found that lupin is lighter and maintains its heat longer than wheat, thus giving you a longer lasting product. Through our lab testing we have found that our lupin heat bags stay warmer for longer than traditional wheat bags. Our lupin heat packs are also 30% lighter than traditional wheat heat bags which means less pressure on your body.

How do I wash my Lupin Bag?

Sponge your lupin bag lightly with luke warm water to remove surface marks, being careful not to saturate product. Hang up to dry as soon as possible. When cover is dry, rub lupin bag briskly between your hands to ensure grains are dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not immerse.

We have a few places you could try. Aidacare is one of the bigger companies you could try and they have a number of locations around Sydney.

How long do I leave the heat pack in the microwave without causing any damage to it so it is warm enough to use on muscles soreness.

We suggest microwaving for 30-45 seconds at a time while rotating the heat pack in between. This ensures the heat pack heats evenly and reduces the risk of the lupins beginning to burn.

How to clean the Natural Lupin Pack?

Please do not submerge this product in water. Plese only spot clean with a warm damp cloth and a mild detergent.

How long will the Lupin Microwave Heat Wrap - Neck & Shoulder remain hot?

It depends on how hot this product is, the estimated time frame is anywhere from 15-30 minutes.

Can you wash the Lupin Heatpacks for the neck and shoulders?If NOT do you have washable covers for them?

Unfortunately, this product cannot be immersed fully in water and we recommend spot cleaning with a micro fiber cloth and mild detergent where required. As this product is filled with lupin, we do not have the covers available separately.
