The aim of the DVA is to provide support for those who have served or currently serve in the defence of Australia.

The RAP (Rehabilitation Appliances Program) assists entitled veterans, war widows and dependents through the provision of aids that minimise the impact of disabilities, maximise independence, and enhance quality of life while undertaking daily activities.
