I would say either the diffuser cushion or the posture wedge would be the best options for sciatica. the posture wedge encourages a better posture through pelvic tilt which may be beneficial for you. The diffuser is very comfortable on any surface but not sure if that is the primary requirement for you and believe the posture wedge would be a better choice. . Hi Lisa, Very sorry about the delay. Our of our products i would recommend the posture wedge. This will encourage you to sit up with better posture and also help strengthen your core which will in turn help your back. You would use this on and off doing the day. A lumber roll will also probably help but you don't use at the same time as the posture wedge. A good option also is to look at the stand up/sit down desks. We all use them here and alternate between sitting and standing. We dont sell them but we use ikea versions which are very affordable and quite effective. Hope this info helps. This is a really good product. I am not sure you would want to be on any more of an angle as it may become uncomfortable to sit (although we could make it double the angle by putting two wedges together if you wished)?

Would you use this cushion side on in a wide recliner chair for a wheelchair-bound person who sits with one hip higher than the other, because of scoliosis? At the present, he slumps to one side because of this, and very painful OA. Is also obese.

Suffer dreadfully from pain in coccyx during/after long flights. Have 2 x 17 hour flights soon! Would the posture wedge help this or is it mainly for lower back?

Sorry about the delay. Both products are machine washable but only go the sterri plus if you require waterproofing for some reason. The dura fab is much more popular. Memory foam is a foam that will mold around the shape of the body rather than hold its shape in the same way as traditional foam.
