The principle behind the cooling effect of our non-toxic, silica-based cooling gel pillow is straightforward and effective. The core idea is that liquid substances, such as the silica gel within our pillow, inherently possess superior heat conductivity compared to materials filled with air, like foam, feathers, polyester, and cotton. Do

  • Vacuum regularly
  • Spot clean only
  • Dab clean with a damp cloth using a solution of mild detergent and warm water
  • Dry flat in airy location, avoiding direct sunlight and heat

Do Not

  • Immerse in water
  • Rub

  • Tumble dry

General Instructions

  • Air regularly.  To refresh sprinkle baking soda over the surface, leave for a few hours, then vacuum it off.  This helps absorb any odours and freshens up the product.

Service Rating : Great website, very quick delivery.

Product : I absolutely love my previous Therapeutic Pillow, can't sleep without it! I decided purchase this 'cooling one' for the summer months. I have both on my bed, so I am able to compare them directly, and I don't find any difference between them. Both amazing to sleep on, I just don't feel the 'cooling' aspect in the new pillow. It doesn't seem any cooler than the original.

Questions & Answers

The Gel surface contains silica gel which will help to disperse heat from the user into the pillow. It operates on the fact that material with a higher rate of conduction such as water, liquids and gel will transfer heat at a better rate than materials that are less conductive to heat.
There are two main gel pillow types the foam infused and the silica gel pad varieties. The gel pillows where the gel is infused into the foam helps to retain the pure feel of foam where that is the preference of the user. This has the benefit of feeling like a traditional foam product. The alternative is the silica gel infused pad which we have found gives a different feel but just as quality feel.
The gel pillow will work without any need for outside power source or any specific treatment. We recommend the use the naturelle eucaplytus fibre mattress protector for to allow for the best dispersal body heat.
To clean the pillows, you can simply remove the cover and give that a wash from time to time. The actual foam portion of the pillow cannot be cleaned so if you think that might be an issue then we recommend the pillow protectors to prevent perspiration becoming an issue with the pillow. They will also protect from dustmites, bed bugs and anything else. The gel pillow is a firmer memory foam style pillow and will last 5 years plus before softening too much. If there is a fault with the pillow, we can replace or if you do not find it to your liking you can exchange for a different pillow but would need to organise getting the product back to us.
The memogel pillow is made in China.
Our gel version of the complete sleeprrr is soft so I wouldnt recommend that one for you. The closest in shape is probably the memogel contour pillow but it will have a different sort of feel.
Yes, an adhesive is used to attach the gel layer to the foam layer. There is also a shrink-wrapped poly urethane layer which goes over both to bond it further together and ensure there is a barrier between gel and the pillowcase. There is no odour associated with either process
We don't think this would be a good option for a 5-year-old. We think the gel is fine but the pillow will be too high. We would perhaps recommend the children's Tranquillow pillow. It is a light pillow in terms of density meaning that it should not hold any heat.
The memogel contour pillow is one of the firmest in our range and the firmest of the memogel products. We think it should be ok for you. We can also put in a couple of extra layers to raise the pillow a bit higher should you require.
Our gel version of the complete sleeprrr is soft so we wouldn't recommend that one for you. The closest in shape is probably the memogel contour pillow but it will have a different sort of feel.
Unfortunately, we do not manufacture bamboo covers for our pillows.
