Service Rating : Ordering process was very easy. Delivery was fast and fuss free.

Product : Excellent pillow.
The head is held in a comfortable position that allows freedom for the apnea mask and has reduced my leak rates considerably.
It does need to be slightly larger to fit into a standard pillow case and allow easier head positioning at the start of the night.
Having said that, because it aligns the body so well, the smaller size isn't really noticeable.

What is Sleep Apnoea?

Sleep apnoea is a condition where a persons breathing stops and starts while they are sleeping.Apnoea means no breath or stopping breathing. When you have sleep apnoea, air stops flowing to your lungs for 10 seconds or longer and you stop breathing.This makes your blood oxygen level drop which in turn triggers your brain to wake you up just enough to take a breath.Then you fall back to sleep and the cycle begins again.Sleep apnoea is not just an inconvenience. Left undiagnosed and untreated, it can have serious long-term effects on your health.A person may have mild, moderate, or severe sleep apnea. Investing in a specially designed pillow may help alleviate symptoms such as snoring, breathing difficulties and tiredness.

Would regular or queen size pillow cases fit the EasyBreather?

They will fit but will be quite loose - the pillow should still work but won't be quite as "fitted".

Does the Easy Breather Pillow come with a pillow case or do I have to buy one?

Yes, the easy breather does come with a pillow case and extra cases can be purchased if required.

Can you use this pillow on top of a wedge shaped foam support?

Yes, it should be fine to use on most wedge-shaped products and still sleep on your side or your back on the product.

What kind of pillow cases you use on these pillows and are they easy to buy if not just standard?

You can use a standard slip for these pillows as it will keep to the shape of the pillow and still function as it is supposed to.

Which is best pillow for moderate sllep apnea with and without a mask (sometimes I use a MAD) . Is the memory foam toxic?

If not wearing a mask then we generally recommend the complete sleeprrr original pillow. Adjustable, very comfortable, and good support. The memory foam is not toxic in any way and is completely inert.

I am travelling overseas. Will compressing the pillow in my bad wreck its memory foam shape?

Squashing the pillows will be perfectly fine and pillows will return back to their correct shape as soon as they are removed from your bags. You just don't want to keep them squashed for weeks at a time.

If I sleep on your back, is this pillow still suitable?

It is still a good pillow for back sleeping and side sleeping also but I think there are better options if you are only a back sleeper such as the complete sleeper original or the latex low - both of which can be adjusted to be lower as you don't need so much height in the pillow if you are a back sleeper only.

I am diagnosed with very high percent sleep apnea and I can not tolerate mask. I also snore loudly.

If you do not have a mask then we would not get the sleep apnea pillow as we think the other contour pillows might be more suitable. The complete sleeper original pillow is the most popular in the range and that would be a good start as it is adjustable, very comfortable, and will give great support.

What is the expected life of the sleep apnea pillow?

We would expect a life span of 3-5 years depending on the size of the user. The use of the pillow protector will help greatly by preventing any perspiration from getting into the pillow and helping to keep it clean.

I am a small person 85 years old and wear an apnea mask - I do have a slight reflux problem - what size pillow would I need and should I only consider the apnea pillow or can I also consider the others in your stock

It seems there are two aspects to look at. We think given you are wearing a CPAP mask you would definitely be best off with the Easy Breather pillow which is specifically designed to be used with a mask. We would recommend getting this first and seeing how it goes for you. With your reflux, the best product we make is the contoured bed wedge which helps to alleviate it. It can be adjusted to two angles and will work for side sleeping on the lower angle or on your back if required also.

I suffer from sleep apnea, I use a CPAP machine but I wake most mornings with a severe frontal headache. I think that my pillow and CPAP machine which lead to me sleeping predominantly on my back are contributing to the problem. Does the easybreather sleep apnea pillow help encourage sleeping on your side? Have any studies beeen done which show positive results for sleep apnea patients using the easybreather sleep apnea pillow?

The easy breather has always gotten quite good responses as it will encourage you to sleep on your side by virtue of its shape of it. We haven't done clinical studies but a number of sleep apnea specialist centers do sell the products and we have been very happy with the product.

What's the best pillow for sleep apnea?

If you are choosing a pillow for sleep apnea then we would recommend the easy breather pillow if you are wearing a CPAP mask as it is custom designed to not impede on your mask while you sleep. If you do not wear a mask then we would recommend the complete sleeper original. It is our most popular pillow being adjustable, very comfortable, and giving very good support. It should encourage you to sleep on your side which will help straighten your breathing airways to aid your sleep apnea.

Yes the easy breather is 100% latex free and does not come into any contact with latex at any point of production.
