When you say the wedge is scalloped is that something like the convoluted foam mattresses?
Sorry about any confusion. When we say the product is scalloped that is referring to the product having a slight concave shape to it which prevents you from rolling off during your rest. It is slightly noticeable but nothing like convoluted foam which is bumpy by its nature.

Hi Norma, The covers either come in quilting or in a waterproof fabric called sterri plus. Unless waterproofing is required i generally recommend the quilting. There is also the option of a cotton pillow case to go over both products which makes them much easier to keep clean.
I have a heart problem and get swelling in the ankles. Is a bed wedge good for this to elevate feet?
Unfortunately, as the bed wedge is a support to sit up against it will not assist with elevating feet for circulation. We would suggest looking into either the leg relaxer or foot reliever for this.

You say to use a tailored overslip with the contoured bed wedge. Is this not the tailored pillow cover? You say the tailored pillow cover is not designed for repeated washing so where on your web site can I find the tailored overslip?
