A Heartfelt Contribution to the Goldstein Welcome Initiative

Melbourne, July 2023 – As part of its 50th-anniversary celebrations, Therapeutic Pillows is delighted to announce its significant donation of pillows to the Goldstein Welcome initiative in support of a refugee family from Afghanistan.

In partnership with Goldstein Welcome, a pilot program of the CRISP (Community Refugee and Immigration Support Program) network, Therapeutic Pillows aims to provide vital assistance to a Hazara family of five who have recently resettled in Australia.

The heartwarming story revolves around a resilient family, comprised of a mother, two daughters in their early twenties, and two young sons attending primary school. Originally from Kabul, Afghanistan, the family endured displacement in Iran for the last 23 years before finally receiving the opportunity for a new beginning in Australia. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has identified this family as requiring urgent resettlement, and the Australian Government has graciously referred them to the CRISP program.

Goldstein Welcome, driven by a profound commitment to aiding refugees in their integration journey, has stepped forward to support this family in all aspects of their settlement process. From sourcing temporary accommodation to enrolling the children in schools or language classes, and facilitating access to essential services such as Medicare, Goldstein Welcome will be the guiding light for the family as they embark on this life-changing chapter.

As part of its broader "give back to the community" campaign, Therapeutic Pillows will stand by the Australian community for the next 12 months as part of our 50th Anniversary initiative. Through this initiative, Therapeutic Pillows aims to showcase its unwavering commitment to fostering a compassionate society, where everyone has the chance to flourish.

Australia: A nation with multiple faces and rich culture

"Australia has a long-standing tradition of welcoming people from all corners of the world, embracing diverse cultures, and celebrating the richness they bring to our society," said the Therapeutic Pillows' Director. "As our population has grown with a multicultural orientation, we have been blessed to witness the beautiful amalgamation of people, food, traditions, art, and so much more. This profound enrichment of our society serves as a testament to the power of unity and empathy."

Therapeutic Pillows' support for the Goldstein Welcome initiative reflects its firm belief in standing united and helping those in need. The company's donation of pillows symbolizes comfort and care and represents a gesture of solidarity and a commitment to building a compassionate and inclusive community.

The Goldstein Welcome initiative is part of the CRISP network, which has been instrumental in facilitating the successful resettlement of refugees in Australia for years. CRISP, an exemplary collaborative effort between government, community, and private sectors, embodies the spirit of compassion that defines Australia's approach to humanitarian issues.
"The resettlement of refugees is a collective endeavour, and we are immensely grateful to partners like Therapeutic Pillows for their remarkable contribution," said Sandra Rees a Goldstein Welcome representative. "Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those seeking safety and a brighter future."
At the core of this initiative is the understanding that the Hazara family, like countless other refugees, seeks nothing more than a chance to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to Australian society. By providing them with a nurturing environment, access to education, and the necessary tools to secure employment, we can collectively foster their growth and ensure they become active participants in our nation's development.

Therapeutic Pillows, founded in 1973, has built a legacy of compassion and innovation in the healthcare industry over the past five decades. As a company that values people's well-being, Therapeutic Pillows has consistently demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the community and supporting worthy causes.
To join in this heartwarming endeavour and contribute to the resettlement of the Hazara family, please consider donating Shout For Good. Every contribution, big or small, will play a crucial role in shaping a brighter future for those seeking refuge and a fresh start in Australia.
As we celebrate 50 years of excellence, Therapeutic Pillows remains steadfast in its dedication to positively impacting the lives of individuals and communities worldwide.
