Is this a good product for Back and Chronic Pain?
The Adjusta Wedge will support your back fully.
What keeps the pillow from sliding out of position?
The weight of your head helps to keep the pillow in position, many use their own pillow.
Can you sleep on your side using the adjusta wedge?
You can sleep on your side on the lowest angle.
Is this suitable to sleep on a long lounge chair?
If the lounge chair is wide enough.
Is this product good for glaucoma? Is it easy to pack up and take on a holiday?
The product would do exactly what is required to help minimise pressure in your eyes by maintaining the elevation of the head while still allowing you to sleep comfortably. The adjusta wedge has the benefit of being able to change the angle as required so this product would be appropriate as well as the Contoured Bed Wedge. It is not a small item but packs away very easily in the one piece plastic bag that it comes in.
Do both parts have an outer slip? Can extra outer slips be purchased?
The cotton cover is available for the eclipse shaped part of the product and can be purchase on our website under accessories , product covers and slips.
Is there a body weight that is unsuitable to use this?
The maximum weight is 100 130 kilograms.
I need to sleep in an upright position? And how firm is it?
The product is reasonably firm but not too firm as that would be uncomfortable. This product comes in two pieces and they are not joined therefore they can move during the night. We also have the Contoured Bed Wedge which comes as one piece which could be an option.
Can the Adjust Wedge be used on a sofa?
It would depend on the width and length of your sofa.
Is this appropriate for people with respiratory health issues?
Yes, it is designed to elevate the body and should therefore make breathing easier by elevation and by keeping any fluids lower in the lungs to give a more comfortable sleep and rest.
Is there a head support with this 2 piece wedge?
The support in the illustration for behind the neck is the pregnancy support wedge found on our website under pregnancy and maternity pillows.
Can you please advise which pillow is used in conjunction with the Adjusta Wedge as per the video?
The small pillow is the Pregnancy Support Wedge found on our website under pregnancy and maternity pillows.
Is this suitable / safe for a paediatric client with congestive heart condition?
It should assist with any heart condition as you are raising the heart above the rest of the body so that gravity can assist the heart to pump blood around the body. It can be used in a multitude of angles so you should be able to find an angle that is comfortable.
Is this appropriate for a cardiac condition?
The Adjusta Wedge will certainly allow you to sleep in an upright position and adjusta the angle.
What is the weight?
The Adjusta Wedge weighs 2.35kg and is suitable for people up to 130kg.
Would you suggest a pillow with this to sleep at night?
Yes, you would likely use a pillow with this product, preferably something low, like the Naturelle Latex Low pillow for instance. You can just use your normal pillow at first to see how that goes as it should be just fine.
What is the best wedge for GERD/reflux? Can this be used by side sleepers?
Having the pillow on one of the lower angles you may be able to sleep on your side but it just depends on how you find the angle. It has been used for side sleeping by many customers.
Is the smaller pillow under the ladies head an accessory?
The pillow is displayed for illustration purposes and may be purchased separately. It is our Pregnancy Support Wedge cushion.
Is this the best wedge for post surgery?
Both the Contoured Bed Wedge and Adjusta Wedge is suitable for back sleeping. The Contoured bed wedge is more comfortable for sleeping but the Adjusta Wedge has the benefit of several heights available for sitting upright to reclining fully. The pyramid pillow can also be helpful either on its own or with either of the other products.
Do you have a pillow cover for the Adjusta Wedge?
The Adjusta Wedge has a quilted slip and we also sell an overslip for the larger piece. Please take a look at our accessories section on the website.
How many pieces does this come in?
The Adjusta Wedge comes in 2 pieces. The additional small pillow that you see on the lifestyle image is our Pregnancy Support Wedge found on our website under pregnancy and maternity pillows.
Is this the correct wedge for reading in bed and tension in shoulders?
The Adjusta Wedge is a great all-round product and should help with shoulder issues (reading in bed was one of the design requirements).
Does the Adjusta Wedge come with an incontinence / waterproof cover?
We haven't made the Adjusta Wedge in a waterproof material, but we can do it if you would like. We can customise products to your or your clients requirements (we can do this with any of the products). Please contact us for more information.
Sleeping in a recline position after surgery - Is the Adjusta Wedge a good product for this?
Two of our products should be helpful for you. The Adjusta Wedge allows you to change the angle you sit on so that you can sit, rest and sleep in different positions. If you are looking purely at sleeping, then the bed wedge is probably the best option as the position is fixed.
What is the dimensions please?
The product is 61cm wide and the length of the back support part of the product is 70cm.
Does the small pillow behind her neck come with this or at an extra cost ?
This item does not come with the product it's an additional cost. It's called the pregnancy support wedge ($59).
Is the Adjusta Wedge Body Support good for a couch for neck support while watching tv.
I would recommend the Adjusta Wedge for the bed rather than the couch, although you could try it. Perhaps look at the pyramid pillow.
