The Tranquillow Contoured Pillow is available in three types of foam – Memory Foam, Traditional Foam Soft and Traditional Foam Deluxe (firm).

The Memory Foam version gives the unique feeling of shaping to the contour of the neck and head. It is soft yet supportive in its feel.

The Traditional Foam Soft is white in colour and has significant "give" in the pillow designed to spread pressure and maximise comfort.

The Traditional Foam Deluxe is yellow in colour and the firmest option available. This pillow will provide an incredibly supportive sleep surface for those that like a rigid support.

Can the pillows be washed?

Unfortunately, you cannot really wash the foams but you can dab them clean with a damp cloth if there are dirty spots. The best thing to use to protect the foam is a pillow protector that will stop perspiration getting into the product

Why are there different coloured foams?

Colour is used to identify a specific grade, hardness of a foam or resilience.

Can you tell me what the deluxe density entails. Is it a firm density?

The Deluxe is the firmest density pillow that we use. It is a firm pillow. If in doubt I would recommend the soft version which will give good support but will not be so rigid in its feel.

What is deluxe density?

Deluxe density is your traditional (old fashioned) foam, not memory foam

Deluxe density compared to Soft version?

The 'Deluxe' version is 20% firmer than the 'Soft' version. Both of these are of superior quality (which translates as higher density).

What is the product warranty?

The Therapeutic Pillow International (TPI) WARRANTY covers manufacturing defects only. That is defects that can be definitively attributed to the manufacturing process and not those occurring after the product has been opened by the consumer. Also, once product has been used, Government health regulations prohibit return and/or refunds.

Best Tranquillow Pillow for a 120kg, 2m tall side sleeper?

It depends whether you sleep only on your side or sometimes on your back. Also if you prefer a pillow you mould into like a memory foam pillow (in this case i would recommend tranquillow medium with a bunch of extra inserts to give it the height you require) or something that will give you a firmer support like the tranquillow queen or king in traditional foam which will give you the height you require. The hardness of your mattress will also come into play. If it is a soft mattress then you will sink in more and don't need the pillow to be quite as high. Standard SOFT or DENSITY? I'm a side sleeper and have quite a lot of tension in my neck. what do you recommend?

Definitely the soft as far as density goes. It provides good support without feeling to firm which might cause you more tension perhaps. We probably sell about 3 to 1 of the soft versus the deluxe.

Where does the foam in my pillow come from?

It is an oil-derived synthetic product.

What if I'm allergic to foam pillows?

All our foam products have been treated with an allergy inhibiter which deters the presence of dust mite and other allergens.

What size I should choose?

We tend to recommend the standard soft for broader frames, and then the small soft for smaller framed adults. This pillow is a good contour pillow that is not too firm and will give good support. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance with anything at all.

I'm looking for a low very soft pillow but with neck head and spine support. I'm sleeping on your bed wedge so it can't be too big and I sleep on my back

We would suggest looking at the Complete Sleeprr Gel memory foam contoured pillow as it is an extra soft density memory foam while also providing support.

Can you help me understand the difference between memory medium and memory low?

The difference between these two pillow options is the height profile.The Memory Medium is 12.5cm on the high side and 11cm on the low side.The Memory Low is 11.5cm on the High side and 10cm on the low side.

Is the Queen Size Deluxe Traditional Foam Latex free?

Yes, our traditional foam products are latex free.

Is the Tranquillow contoured soft or harder?

Depending on if you purchase the soft or deluxe version will then change whether the product is soft or firm. The deluxe version is our firmer foam option.

I am looking for a pillow for my 5 1/2-year-old to replace the original one we bought from you when he first started sleeping in a bed - First kids pillow. What is the best pillow for him now - a Family Pillow Junior Profile or one that you recommend for all children so to speak? Also, what do you recommend for adults from your range?

The next age bracket is the Tranquillow Childrens pillow in either memory or traditional foam. The Family Junior is for ages 6-8 depending on the child's size this may also be suitable. As children are all different, we can't provide specific product suggestions as what product works for one child may not be for another of the same age. Our most popular range for adults is either the Complete Sleeprrr Memory foam or the Naturelle Latex range, depending on your foam preference.
