I want to purchase a pillow for a 4 year old and I like the look of thememory foam pillows, but had heard somewhere they get really hot when yousleep on them. Do they get hot during sleep?
Heat is rarely an issue with any of our pillows. They are all open cell soair does pass through them. They do mould to the shape of the neck and headwhich does mean there is a little more surface area on the skin but inreality it is not an issue as far as heat is concerned.
My son is 2yr 8mths, which pillow would be suitable for him?
We think our lower pillow the Their First Pillow would be the best option for you. It is designed for 2-3 years of age.
I am small framed adult and always found that the adult contour pillows were always too high for me. Would this pillow be a good substitute for me?
This pillow should be perfectly fine for you if you prefer a lower-height contour pillow. The contour will give you benefits and we sell a lot of these for adults also particularly if they sleep on their tummies.
I bought a family junior pillow (8 to 9 cm high) for me since I have a petite figure and my spine curve is rather flat. After a while, I found the junior pillow is still a bit high for me. I am thinking of purchasing the kids pillow (7 to 8 cm high)
If the junior family is too low then we would probably recommend the children's tranquillow pillow particularly if you are sleeping on your back most of the time.
Which pillow should a 3 year old kid choose?
Depending on the size of your child, if your child is on the smaller side, you may find Their First Pillow would be suitable. If your child is tall and bigger build, our Tranquillow Children Pillow would be suitable. This pillow is made in either memory foam or traditional foam also.
I am looking for pillows to suit my 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 year olds, would the pillow that says its for 8 yrs be suitable? I don't want to get the 4-5 yr old pillow only to have to upgrade again in a couple of years, unless you think it makes a big difference and I should get this first? Also, would standard size pillow cases fit these pillows?
We would recommend the children tranquillow for your 3.5-year-old and the family junior for your 5.5-year-old. You should get approx 2-3 years out of both and then can upgrade your older child to a new pillow and give the family junior to your younger one. The 8-year-old pillows will be too high in our opinion for both of them at this stage.

Depends on her size, frame, etc. Important not to be too high for her neck. Their First pillow is 5 & 6 cms and the Tranquillow children's pillow is 7 & 8 cms in height.

We suggest a low pillow. The Tranquillow children's pillow should suit both girls. The lower side of the pillow for the youngest and either side for your oldest.

We would recommend the family pillow junior pillow. It is quite low which is what your child will require and has good support for their first pillow which is what they will require.
What pillow cover/slip you would use on the tranquillow kids pillow? I am interested in finding the right pillow size for my 28 month old toddler and would like a pillow slip.
The pillow does come with a slip and extra slips can be purchased at the same time when placing an order. Being a specialty pillow most slips will be too big for them though it would be easy enough to make up slips if you so choose.
I am worried that your pillows aren't washable. That doesn't seem practical for a child's pillow. How do you recommend we protect them from a possible accident
The best way to protect the foam of the pillow is to use a pillow protector. We make one in a special small size and will prevent sweat or any liquids from staining the pillow.
Can you use this pillow if you sleep on your stomach?
While we don't recommend sleeping on the stomach as it will put extra strain on your neck a smaller pillow like the children's pillow would be the way to go. Basically, something that is as low as possible to give you comfort but not push up your neck.
Is your 100% cotton? Also, is the pillow hypoallergenic?
The pillow covers are 100% cotton but are not organic. The pillows are hypoallergenic but do require pillow protectors to keep them that way. Eventually, perspiration and body contact will penetrate foam if protectors are not used.
I have one 10 year old normal size child sleeps on his side , and one 6 year old who sleeps on his side too but is very small framed for his age including his head. What pillow would you suggest for them each?
For your 10 year old we would recommend the naturelle latex pillow in low size which should give good support for your child and is a step up from the children's range. For your 6-year-old the family pillow junior will be the best option as a full-size pillow (so they feel just as big as your older child) but in the lowest possible height.
Do you have pillow cases to fit the childrens' memory foam Tranquillow Kids Pillow?
Yes, we do have those slips available. They are the same size as the children's traditional pillow slips.

What's the difference between traditional foam and memory foam in kids pillows ? Are pillows mould resistant ? Is there warranty on the pillows?
The difference between the two pillows is that the traditional one holds its shape while the memory foam will mold to the shape of your child's head. All our foam products have an additive called ultra-fresh which will prevent mold from growing. We have a warranty on defects or manufacture errors and will replace the product but no exchange for a change of mind.
I have a near 9 year old quite tall girl who sleeps predominantly on her stomach. What pillow would you recommend?
If your daughter is on her tummy then you want something low for her. We would recommend the children's tranquillow pillow. It may be too low for her but if she is on her tummy you definitely don't want to high as it will twist her neck. We would be trying to encourage her to sleep on her side over time. Please call us on the phone if you do wish to order and we will pop a latex insert which will give it some extra height and can be put in once she gets used to the product.
I am buying the tranquillow contoured pillow for my seven year old, however how would I know which foam to select, traditional or memory?
We tend to recommend the traditional foam pillow for children as we think it is good to get the true feel of a contour pillow from an early age. Most children are pretty resilient and can get by without the shape molding comfort of memory foam. Also if your child's room is cool in the winter the memory foam might sometimes feel a bit firm.
Are 250 thread count pillow cases that you have for sale are a standard shape or are they tailored to fit the childrens contour pillows especially?
The pillows are a standard style so should fit the children just fine (albeit maybe a little loose).
I am concerned about using your pillow for my child? Are there any additves or toxins in the product.
The Childrens Tranquillow like all our traditional and memory foam pillows is made here in Melbourne. Being a foam pillow the vast majority of its ingredients is Polyol (which is derived from Petroleum). It is non toxic and non reactive so shouldn't be any issue with that. We also have an additive called ultrafresh which is an antimicrobial agent to stop mould and other nasties growing in the foam. More info can be read on the ultrafresh website to put you at complete ease.
Your kid pillows are based on age however they talk about being just the right height for say 4-5 year olds. My question is, my daughter is 3 1/2 but quite tall for her age so how do I determine what is the right "size" pillow for her?
The general basis of the Children's pillow goes by age but it is only a general guide for parents. If your child is taller for their age they could definitely size up to the next pillow.

We would suggest the family junior pillow as it has the added egg foam across the top for a softer feel.
