You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you help someone out? That's exactly what we've been experiencing here at Therapeutic Pillow Australia after our recent donation to Coogee Primary School.
A Little Goes a Long Way
We recently donated two of our Naturelle Latex Pillows and two Naturelle Latex Children Pillows to Coogee Primary School's fundraising efforts. Their goal? To raise $10,000 for their early childhood playground revamp. While they didn't quite hit their target, they still managed to raise an impressive $7,000 - that's $7,000 closer to giving those kiddos an awesome place to play!
The school sent us the sweetest thank you certificate that honestly made our day. It mentioned how not just students but also the wider community uses the playground equipment after school and on weekends too.
Getting to Know Coogee Primary School
If you haven't had a chance of visiting, Coogee Primary School is this gorgeous little spot about 10km south of Fremantle. Picture this: lush gardens and plenty of shade trees throughout the grounds. A signature large pine tree stands tall over three shaded playgrounds and a spacious oval.
The school has quite the history too! "Coogee Primary School gained official government recognition back in 1894 when a local legend named Mr. W. Allen built a barn at his own expense to give local students a place to learn. Fast forward to 1993, when the school officially opened its current buildings and celebrated its centenary the following year.

More Than Just a School
What really resonates with us is Coogee's vision. "Coogee School is an institution of learning designed to enable each child to attain the fullest possible level of development intellectually, socially, morally, aesthetically and vocationally."
That's not just fancy education-speak. The staff are serious about nurturing well-rounded little humans. Passionate volunteers run their P&C Committee, working together to support teachers and the school community in 'building strong, resilient, and respectful little people.'
We're so grateful to be part of this community. We also look forward to seeing the playground transformation over the next two years. Next time you're in the neighbourhood, pop by and see the amazing space that the school community is creating for our local kids!
The Power of Community
This fundraising effort is part of a two-year project, so there are plenty more opportunities to get involved. Schools like Coogee thrive because of their dedicated volunteers, passionate teachers, and supportive local businesses - and we’re honoured to be a small part of their journey.
To the team at Coogee Primary School, thanks for all that you do in shaping the next generation. And to the little ones eagerly awaiting their new playground - we’re cheering you on! 🎉
