August Highlights – A Month of Giving Back
Giving back to the community has always been one of our core values. This August, we’ve supported House of Chiropractic, the Lyme Disease Association of Australia and The Mobility Store. We donated therapeutic pillows and heat packs to support initiatives focused on community wellbeing, connection and fundraising.
Supporting the Albury-Wodonga Community with House of Chiropractic
Dr Janine Adams created House of Chiropractic with a clear vision: a place where the whole family can feel supported. For more than 30 years, she has been supporting individuals and families across the Albury-Wodonga community.
Each year, House of Chiropractic hosts the Best Week Ever, bringing together patients, staff and the wider community through themed activities and giveaways.
From Taco Tuesday to Spin-the-Wheel Thursday, it’s an opportunity for Dr Janine and the team to thank their patients for placing their trust in them and show their appreciation for the community they’ve built together.
This year, the team will also be participating in R U OK? Day as an opportunity to connect, check in, and remind people of the importance of looking out for one another.
At Therapeutic Pillow Australia, we value our long-term partnership with House of Chiropractic. We’re also proud to have donated therapeutic pillows and heat packs to support Dr Janine and the House of Chiropractic team in the meaningful work they continue to do for their patients and the wider Albury-Wodonga community.
Supporting Australians Affected by Tick-Borne Diseases
The Lyme Disease Association of Australia (LDAA) is a registered charity and Australia’s peak patient body for tick-borne diseases. The charity provides advocacy, education and support for affected individuals and families across the country.
Many people within the LDAA community experience ongoing muscle and joint discomfort, tension and fatigue. When the organisation approached us for support with its launch raffle, we were happy to contribute therapeutic pillows and heat packs towards a self care prize package for their community.
Through initiatives like this, LDAA continues to raise awareness and create opportunities to support and connect people affected by tick borne diseases across Australia.
Joining The Mobility Store to Support People Living with MS
For many years, The Mobility Store has been a valued partner of Therapeutic Pillow Australia. When they invited us to be part of their upcoming MS Fundraiser & CPD Event, we were happy to support the initiative.
Bringing together staff, supply partners and the Allied Health community, the event will raise funds to support people living with MS while also creating an opportunity for professional learning and connection.
The day will feature Paralympic champion and MS advocate Carol Cooke AM PLY as keynote speaker, alongside a CPD session focused on pressure care, comfort and pressure injury prevention.
We were proud to donate therapeutic pillows and heat packs for the event’s silent auction and raffle to contribute to the fundraising efforts. Thank you to The Mobility Store for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful event.
